A devastating fire in the Boubazar part of the Korail slum, home to about a couple of thousand inhabitants, has left hundreds of people homeless and helpless.
দুই হাজারের অধিক মানুষের বসতি কড়াইল বস্তির বাবুবাজার অংশে একটি ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ড এক হাজারের অধিক মানুষকে উদ্বাস্তু ও অসহায় করেছে।
Most of the residents there were either rickshaw pullers or garment workers — economically poor.

And it is these poor people who are often victims to such misfortunes as well as exploitation by these powerful individuals.
এবং গরীব মানুষগুলোকে প্রতিনিয়তই এসব ক্ষমতাবান লোকদের দ্বারা এই ধরণের দুর্ভোগ ও নির্যাতনের শিকার হতে হয় ।
The authorities should immediately look to stop these rent-seekers from abusing the poor living in slums by devising a comprehensive strategy that would protect their interest.
অতএব, বস্তিবাসীর স্বার্থ সংরক্ষণ এবং অসাধু বস্তি ব্যবসায়ীদের কর্তৃক তাদের জীবন নিয়ে ছিনিমিনি খেলা বন্ধতে করতে অতিসত্বর একটি সমন্বিত কৌশল গ্রহণে সরকারের কার্যকরী ভূমিকা পালন করা উচিত।
Meanwhile, those who have lost everything in the most recent fire must be given immediate relief in terms of shelter and food with help from the civil society and also be rehabilitated.
তাছাড়া , সাম্প্রতিক অগ্নিকাণ্ডে সহায় -সম্বলহীন মানুষগুলোকে সুশীল সমাজের সহায়তায় আশ্রয় , খাদ্যসহ ত্রাণ সামগ্রী জরুরী ভিত্তিতে প্রদান করতে এবং তাদের পুনর্বাসিতও করতে হবে।
