The National Board of Revenue is set to honour 141 taxpayers, including 76 individuals with tax cards later this month, for their exemplary compliance.

“We are going to honour more taxpayers so that more people feel encouraged to be compliant,” said a senior official of NBR seeking to remain unnamed.

The tax cards will be given in 18 categories for individual taxpayers, 14 categories for companies and four categories for firms and other taxpayers at the national level.
=একক ব্যক্তি করদাতাকে ১৮ টি ক্যাটাগরিতে, কোম্পানিকে ১৪ ক্যাটাগরিতে এবং প্রতিষ্ঠান ও জাতীয় পর্যায়ের করদাতার জন্য ৪ টি ক্যাটাগরিতে কর কার্ড প্রদান করা হবে।
Since fiscal 2010-11, tax cards have been given in only two categories -- individuals and companies.

But the NBR has recently revised the policy as many taxpayers remain out of recognition despite regular compliance.

The policy not only increased the number of tax cards but also altered the nomination criteria.
= এ নীতি কেবলমাত্র কর কার্ড প্রদানকারী সংখ্যাই বাড়াচ্ছে না বরং মনোনীত ব্যক্তিরও সংখ্যা পরির্বতন আনছে।
There are about 22.5 lakh registered taxpayers at present, up from 19.8 lakh at the end of last fiscal year, according to the NBR.

Top individual taxpayers will get cards based on five special categories: senior citizens, war-wounded freedom fighters, physically challenged persons, women taxpayers and young taxpayers.

In addition, people engaged in various professions will be honoured for paying the highest taxes in their respective fields.
= তাছাড়া লোকেরা বিভিন্ন পেশায় জড়িত আছে তাদের নিজ নিজ পেশায় শীর্ষ করদাতাকে পুরস্কৃত বা সম্মানিত করা হবে।
The professions are: businessmen, salaried individuals, doctors, journalists, lawyers, engineers, architects, accountants, new taxpayers, players, actors and singers.
= পেশাগুলো হলো- ব্যবসায়ী, বেতনভোগী ব্যক্তি, চিৎকিসক, সাংবাদিক, আইনজীবী, প্রকৌশলী, স্থপতি, হিসাববিদ, নতুন করদাতা, খেলোয়াড়, অভিনেতা ও শিল্পী।
For companies, tax cards will be issued for 14 sectors, including banks, non-banks, telecom, engineering, food, energy, jute, spinning and textile, garment, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, print and electronic media, real estate and leather industry.
= কোম্পানির ক্ষেত্রে ১৪ টি ক্যাটাগরিতে কর কার্ড প্রদান করা হবে- ব্যাংক, ন্যান- ব্যাংক, টেলিকম, প্রকৌশলী, খাদ্য, এনার্জি, পাট, সুতা ও বস্ত্র, পোশাক, ফার্মাসিটিকাসল এবং রাসায়নিক, প্রিন্ট এবং ইলেকট্রনিক মিডিয়া, রিয়েল এস্টেট এবং চামড়া শিল্পে।
