In broad daylight on 30 October, 15 Hindu temples and over a hundred homes of Hindu families were attacked, ransacked and damaged in Nasirnagar, Brahmanbaria.
১) ৩০ আক্টোবরের প্রকাশ্য দিবালোকে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার নাসির নগরে ১৫ টি হিন্দু মন্দির এবং ১০০ এর উপর হিন্দু পরিবারকে আক্রমণ করে তছনছ করে ধ্বংস করা হয়েছে।
Amid nationwide protests and condemnation, further attacks took place in different places around the country.
২) জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা ও দণ্ডাদেশ এর মধ্যেও দেশের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় আরও আক্রমনের ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
In fact, on Thursday some Hindu families in Nasirnagar again came under attack.
৩) প্রকৃতপক্ষে বৃহস্পতিবার নাসির নগরে কিছু হিন্দু পরিবারে আবার আক্রমণ করা হয়।
Their houses were set afire in the darkness of the night.
৪) রাতের আধারে তাদের বাড়িতে আগুন দেয়া হয়।
Further attacks took place in Naogaon, Thakurgaon and Netrakona.
৫) নওগাঁ, ঠাকুরগাঁ এবং নেত্রকোনাতে ও আক্রমণ করা হয়েছে।
Idols religious books and temples were destroyed.
৬) প্রতিমা, ধর্মীয় বই এবং মন্দির ধ্বংস করা হয়েছে।
It is downright failure of the local administration that the second round of attacks took place in Nasirnagar, despite the law enforcement agencies supposedly being on alert.
৭) এটা স্থানীয় প্রশাসনের ডাহা ব্যর্থতা যে আইন প্রয়াগককারী এজেন্সিগুলো সজাগ থাকার কথা সত্ত্বেও ২য় বারের হামলা সংঘটিত হল।
Three local leaders of Awami League have been suspended from the organisation and 33 persons have been detained.
৮) আওয়ামীলীগ এর স্থানীয় নেতাকে বহিষ্কার করা হয়েছে এবং ৩৩ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে।
But fear prevails among the victims.
৯) কিন্তু আক্রান্তদদের মনে ভয় আছেই।
Until the criminals are tried and punished, their apprehensions will not fade.
১০) অপরাধীদের উপযুক্ত বিচারে সাজা না হওয়া পর্যন্ত তাদের মন থেকে শংকা দূর হবেনা।
Those who attacked the Hindu temples and homes included religious bigots as well as miscreants aiming to grab land and property of the minorities.
১১) ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামি থেকে তারা হিন্দুদের বাড়ি ঘর ও মন্দিরে হামলা করে মুলত ক্ষুদ্র জাতিসত্তার ভূমি ও সম্পত্তি দখলের জন্য।
Local politics and politico-religious equations also played a role in the incidents.
১২) স্থানীয় রাজনীতি ও ধর্মীয় রাজনীতি এখানে গুরত্ত্বপূর্ণ ভুমিকা পালন করছে।
There were both differences and similarities between the incidents, but all hurt the sentiment of the Hindu community and made them feel all the more insecure.

১৪) এটা খুবই আপত্তিকর ও অগ্রহণীয় যে স্থানীয় সংসদ সদস্য এবং মন্ত্রী সায়েদুল হক সংকীর্ণ সাম্প্রদায়িক মন্তব্য করে বলেছেন এটি তেমন গুরত্ত্বপুর্ণ কোন ঘটনা না।
Every communal attack damages social harmony.
১৫) প্রতিটি সাম্প্রদায়িক হামলা সামাজিক শান্তি/ঐক্য ধ্বংস করে।
These are serious criminal offences.
১৬) এগুলো মারাত্মক সামাজিক অপরাধ।
If the criminals are not punished and justice is not ensured due to the religious connotations of these crimes, then communal integration may be harmed.
১৭) যদি ধর্মীয় গূঢ রহস্যের জালে অপরাধীদের সাজা প্রদান না করা হয় ও ন্যায় বিচার নিশ্চিত না করা হয় তবে সাম্প্রদায়িক সমন্বয় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবে।
The perpetrators of each and every attack must be tried and punished.
১৮) প্রতিটি হামলায় জড়িতদের বিচার ও শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করতেই হবে।
It must be ensured that no a single communal attack takes place ever again.
১৯) এটা অবশ্যি নিশ্চিত করতে হবে যে একটা বিচ্ছিন্ন সাম্প্রদায়িক হামলাও আর ঘটবেনা।
