1--আমি বড় হয়েছি নিউইয়র্ক শহরে।
--I have grown up in the New York city.
--খুব ছোটবেলার স্মৃতি যখন স্মরণ করি, চোখে একটাই দৃশ্য ভাসে—বাড়িভাড়ার টাকা জোগাড় করতে না পেরে মা-বাবা হতবিহ্বল হয়ে বসে আছেন।
--Whenever I try to remember my childhood I can recall only one image that is- my parents’ frustrated face for not being able to collect the house rent.
--আমাদের কখনো ঘরছাড়া হতে হয়নি, সেটাকে একটা সৌভাগ্যই বলতে হবে।
--But perhaps this was our fortune that we did not have to leave our residence.
-- তবে বাবাকে বেশির ভাগ সময় বেকার থাকতে দেখেছি।
--But most of the time I have seen my father being unemployed
--অতএব, হাইস্কুলে পড়ার সময়ই আমাকে কাজের সন্ধানে নামতে হয়েছিল।
-- I had to look for a job since my high school study.
--আমার মায়ের চেয়ে ভালো মা আর হয় না।
--And my mother is the best mother in the world.
--তাঁর ধারণা ছিল, পৃথিবীর দোপেয়ে প্রাণীগুলোর মধ্যে আমিই সেরা!
-- She thought that I was the best among all two legged creatures in the world!
--যদি স্কুলে ছোট্ট একটা রচনা লিখতাম, মা দেখে বলতেন, ‘চমৎকার! তুমি তো আগামী দিনের শেক্সপিয়ার!’
--If I wrote a small essay in my school she used to say , “Amazing! You are going to be the future Shakespeare!”
--ফলে খুব ছোটবেলায়ই যা হওয়ার তা-ই হলো।
--This is the reason from my very childhood it happened what it was suppose to be.
বিশ্বাস করতে শুরু করলাম, আমি সব পারি!
--I started to believe that I can do everything!
